Celebrating our 10 year anniversary

The For All Healthy Living Centre is celebrating its 10 year anniversary in style. There are lots of different activities going on over the next few months but as part of the celebrations, volunteers from Alliance Homes and the centre's joint Growing Together project covered the estate in knitting.

Chief Exec, Mark Graham, said: "The event was a great success. People covered the area in knitting. It was a bit of fun and a great surprise for people arriving at the centre in the morning.

"On the day, a service user stood up and said the centre had changed his life. Hearing comments like that is incredible."

Former staff members and volunteers from the past 10 years shared their memories, including the Queen's visit in 2007.

Mary Morgan from the Growing Together project added: "Over the day we created loads of smiles and wonder and the whole thing was a great opportunity to interact with people."

Locality Health Centre Rated Outstanding by CQC

We are delighted and proud to let you know that the Locality Health Centre has just been rated as 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission. This is the highest possible rating and we believe the first to be rated as such in North Somerset.

The full report is available to read on the CQC Website.

To be rated overall 'Outstanding' is a huge achievement for a small practice in an area of very high medical and social need. This is great reflection for the company, staff and the people we serve.

We have achieved this by having an amazing team of excellent staff who care about local people by being committed to providing quality, great access to other services and seeking innovative ways to improve patient outcomes.

As most of you will know, the Locality Health Centre is a distinctive community-based organisation. Funding from the NHS goes on patient care. This is due to no money being paid to shareholders, or taken as profit by partners. It is embedded in the For All Healthy Living Centre, providing holistic approach and access to a wide range of services. We work closely with patients and broader community to improve health and wellbeing of local people.

We are particularly pleased that the whole centre was recognised as having a huge part to play in what we offer. CQC saw that the shared purpose and common set of values led to a strong team working well together to have a real impact.
